If you publish your data openly, you will be able to access it after leaving UCT by accessing ZivaHub. If you create the data using the Project feature or transfer it there later, you can add a collaborator who will be able to access the data after you leave. We do recommend that you have an ORCiD to link all your research. Also, when you leave UCT you can create a Figshare account at https://figshare.com/ for personal research data and to possibly migrate your UCT data to your new Figshare account.
