Local Loans: Yes, late returns incur fines of R2,00 per item per day up to a maximum of R100,00 per item, after which replacement charges may accrue. (The fine covers the costs of fines imposed by other institutions, and ensures that UCT Libraries maintain good working relationships with other interlending institutions.)
International Loans Yes, books returned after the due date will incur fines of R4,00 per item per day ... up to a maximum of R40,00 per item, after which the item may be classified as "lost" and you will be charged for replacement of the book.
